The ISI/ASIS&T Citation Analysis Research Grant
Created in 1997 with a donation by ISI (now part of the Thomson
Corporation), the $3,000 grant supports research based on citation analysis
by encouraging and assisting individuals with ongoing or newly proposed
research in this area of study.
The ISI Doctoral Dissertation Proposal Scholarship
To foster research in information science, Thomson Scientific awards a
scholarship of $1,500 plus $500 for travel or other expenses so the grant
recipient can attend the ASIS&T annual meeting.
The ISI Outstanding Information Science Teacher
Award
An award to a recipient who has made a unique teaching contribution in the
field of information science, in the amount of $1,000 -- plus $500
toward travel to the ASIS&T annual meeting.

Thomson Scientific/Frank Bradway Rogers Information Advancement
Award
Presented annually in recognition of outstanding contributions for the
application of technology to the delivery of health science information, to
the science of information, or to the facilitation of the delivery of
health science information.

BRASS/Thomson Financial Student Travel Award A $1,000 cash
award given to a student enrolled in an ALA accredited master's degree
program to attend the ALA Annual Conference, and a one-year membership in
the Business Reference and Services Section (BRASS) of the Reference and
User Services Association (RUSA). The applicant should have demonstrated
interest in a career as a business reference librarian. The award is
administered by RUSA.
The Roger K. Summit Scholarship
The Roger K. Summit Scholarship, awarded annually by Dialog, a Thomson
business, was established to honor Dr. Roger K. Summit, the founder of
Dialog, for his outstanding contributions to the field of information
science. Two regional awards are made, one for North America (US$5,000) and
one for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific
(€5,000). Applicants must be students who are currently
enrolled in a library and information science program within the award
region, and the scholarship recipient must have demonstrated outstanding
interest or performance in electronic information services.

Thomson Gale Award for Excellence in Business Librarianship
The Thomson Gale Award for Excellence in Business Librarianship is a
citation and $3,000 cash award to an individual who has made a significant
contribution to business librarianship. The award is administered by
RUSA.
The Thomson Gale Award for Excellence in Reference and Adult Library
Services
The Thomson Gale Award for Excellence in Reference and Adult Library
Services is a citation and $3,000 cash award given to a library or library
system for developing an imaginative and unique resource to meet patrons'
reference needs. The award is administered by RUSA.
